What is "Simland"?

Simland is a virtual micro-nation, created on December 26th 2003 by Djay, the webmaster, based on city-building games (e.g. SimCity, CitiesXL) and the Sims. Its main goal was to reach various Sim City players' cities in order to federate them, so that they would work on common projects, share their knowledge of the game and so on. Since then, Simland has become a major French-speaking micro-nation, with rich and complete political and economic systems.

Of course! Although Simland is based on Simcity 4, Cities XL and the Sims, not owning one of these games won't forbid you from playing : Simland offers many other opportunities to have fun. Why don't you start participating in the economy, building your own sim-company or finding a job? Why not create a Sim Sports League? There are plenty of things to do in Simland!
What do I do once I crossed the border and got into Simland?

That's your "godfather's" job. These "godfathers" are ordinary civilians who volunteer to help immigrants find their marks and connect with other members. How do I start a new topic? Ho do I answer to a topic?

To create a new topic, just click on the big "Nouveau" button (new in french) in the board in which you'd like to say what's on your mind. Then, you just have to type in the name/title of your topic in the entry marked "Sujet" (Topic in french). At last, just as on any other message boards, type in whatever you want! (As long as it's still relevant, of course.)

To answer to a topic, just click on the "Répondre" button (Answer). You can quote an other member's message by clicking "Citer" (Quote)in the right-hand corner of his message.


How do you send a Private Message ?
To send a PM, it’s very simple. It just click on "Messages Privés" (at the top of the page, below logos « Maps » and « Weather ») and just click on « New ». Then simply enter the username of the recipient in the appropriate box and enter the subject, and then type the text before you send it by clicking on the button of the same name.
How do you post a picture on Simland ?
To post a Simland image contained on your computer, simply upload the image to a specialized site like one of those mentioned in this list: Imageshack, Photobucket or Flickr (registration required in many of these sites).

IRL ? RP ? What is it?

What is Simland majority ? When is it achieved ?
